Central location in Murren. The apartment is well-equiped, the beds comfy, the water pressure in the shower awesome, the internet connection strong (which we needed to do our online Covid Tests before returning to the U.S.). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Easiest to reach from the train from Grutschalp/Lauterbrunen. We opted to park in Lauterbrunen at the train station from Tuesday to Friday and it was CHF42. Plan to stay in Murren or the area for 3 days minimum and buy the 3 day unlimited rail pass as it will get you big discounts up the mountain to Schilthorn and other places where it is expensive to travel. The COOP in Murren in well-stocked for a small grocery. Access to the Sportzentrum is great - there is a a large indoor pool and hot tub - no need to pay extra for the outdoor one as there are floor to ceiling windows by the indoor one. Don't forget a towel or pay CHF3 to rent one. We did not do laundry but the nearby Hotel Bellevue has a pay laundry. We enjoyed some delightful meals in Murren. One of our favorites was the lunch we had on the patio/balcony of the restaurant of the Hotel Edelweiss across from the apartment. The food was excellent and the view of the valley below - and the occasional paragliders was astounding. We also enjoyed our walk down the mountain to the sleepy village of Gimmelwald - we stumbled upon the bar at the Pension Gimmelwald and enjoyed their delicious Schwarz Monch Beer - tall, dark & snowcapped 🙂 and loved the self-serve/honor system huts with delicious locally produced cheese, charcuterie, butter, milk & eggs. Another favorite was an evening spent at Eiger Guesthouse in Murren - Emma was a delight - and she had Schwarz Monch on tap!
